Rossana married my cousin last year and it’s wonderful that is she is now officially part of the family. Hooray! On the subject of cheer, it was a joy to photograph her baby shower.
I know that her family and friends mean a lot to her, and I thought it was really lovely that she insisted on having her photo taken with all of her guests.
It may have been a large gathering in a hall, but it was a simple set-up, and all about good company and good food (a stupendous amount of food – you will see what I mean!).
Rossana was a perfect host and always making sure that everyone had enough food to eat, including me. Even though she was fairly tired by the end of the day, and probably feeling the pregnancy weight (well I doubt that bubs lets her forget that!), I’ve got to be honest — it really was the most relaxed that I have ever seen her.
There was plenty of baby talk, as well as adorable babies attached to their mums, and then there was the matter of Rossana’s gorgeous belly… it was a wonder that I didn’t come home planning for baby number 2!
Rossana, thank you so much for asking me to capture this special celebration; I hope you’re sleeping well until the time comes, and I simply cannot wait to meet bubs! xoxo
