Helena’s Valentine Family Shoot

Helena’s family shoot was going to be a special event for a few reasons. Firstly, she has twins! And not just any twins–Evelyn and Louise are double-cute and I was double-excited to be photographing twins for the first time. Helena also happens to be a very clever and crafty girl and I find her very inspiring. She made my son’s Christening gown, which turned out beautifully, might I add. The session was on Valentines day and there was certainly a lot of love in the room! Spending Valentines Day with family is always going to be a good thing, even if it’s not my family (teehee). I was given such special treatment during the hours I spent with them, and I almost forgot I was there as a photographer. Scones were baking in the oven, and there I was at the table having a scone with Helena’s family. How fabulous is that? It was such a gleeful session. During the drive home, I couldn’t stop smiling, cause sure, photography brings me joy, but this was a different kind of joy–there are extra layers involved. I never expected to experience this on the job. Just amazing. Thank you Helena. xoxo

(PS – bear with me on this Friday night – I will be uploading more images over the next few hours)

I wasn’t kidding about the scones…!
